At the Canadian FAIT Foundation, we understand the daily lives of families living with food allergies - where every meal, every social gathering, and every school day comes with an added layer of vigilance, risk, and fear. But this daily reality is not well-understood by individuals who aren't directly impacted by food alleriges. In order to gain momentum in our Foundation, awareness is key.
That's why we are thrilled to share a few important updates that are helping move the needle - bringing education and inspiration to families locally in the lower mainland of BC, and nationally, across Canada.
A few months ago, we partnered with Jonathan "Bear" Yeung, who became our Founding Patient Advocate. Bear is 15 years old, an avid ski racer, and a big dreamer. He also has a peanut allergy, which is how he was introduced to Dr. Chan.

Bear's biggest strength is his kind heart. At only 15 years old, his community efforts have helped thousands of BC's kids and healthcare workers, and have had a ripple effect across Canada.
So far, we have had the privilege to share the mission of the Canadian FAIT Foundation with members of the global leadership team of Haidilao, at a memorable Hot Pot dinner at their West Broadway location in Vancouver, BC.

We were also honoured to be invited to a Dim Sum breakfast at Porsche Richmond Centre, where Drs. Chan and Soller shared about the Foundation's mission and new innovative food allergy treatments with families and business partners.

This is just the beginning, but we are excited to see where this campaign can take us!
