Our mission
The Canadian Food Allergy Immunotherapy (FAIT) Foundation exists to drive groundbreaking research, advocate for improved access to care, and provide trusted education—so that every Canadian with food allergies has the opportunity for a safer, healthier future.
About Us
The Canadian FAIT Foundation is a national non-profit organization committed to advancing access to safe, evidence-based treatments for food allergies in Canada. FAIT stands for Food Allergy Immunotherapy, a promising treatment approach that can dramatically improve the lives of individuals and families living with life-threatening food allergies.

Founded to address a critical gap in our healthcare system, the Canadian FAIT Foundation works to ensure that all families—regardless of where they live or their ability to pay—can access emerging treatments that are proven to reduce the risk of severe allergic reactions and improve quality of life.

Why Our Work Matters
Food allergies are a growing public health issue, affecting more than 3 million Canadians. For many, the only option has been strict avoidance and the constant fear of accidental exposure. While promising treatments like oral immunotherapy (OIT) are becoming more widely recognized, access remains limited—especially outside of major urban centers. Canada lacks a coordinated, equitable system to deliver food allergy treatments. This has left families navigating a patchwork of care with few resources and little support. The Canadian FAIT Foundation is here to change that.

Our Mission
We fund research, support healthcare provider training, and advocate for policies that make food allergy treatments accessible to all Canadians. Through partnerships with healthcare providers, researchers, and patient families, we are building a future where no child or adult has to live in fear of the food they eat.
